Design
One of the downsides to owning a pair of true wireless earphones is the constant fear that you may lose or misplace any of its units (be it one side of your earphones or the charging cradle).
However, the Sudio Elva comes with a built-in neckband that wraps around the back of the neck. With the neckband, I find myself better able to focus on my exercise without worrying about my earphones getting damaged or lost -- even if the earbuds do fall out, they dangle safely down my chest!
Features
Alike the Sudio Ett, the Sudio Elva has an outstanding Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) mode and is also water-resistant with a rating of IPX5, allowing it to effectively block out environmental noise as well as withstand rain, sweat, and water splashes.
Personally, I feel more comfortable exercising with the Sudio Elva due to the additional sense of security the neckband design provides. If you have stubborn ear canals like me, don't forget to explore the assortment of interchangeable earbuds in the accessories box. There are 5 different sizes which you can choose from to find the most comfortable fit for your ears!
The most unique feature of the Sudio Elva has to be the Bluetooth flight adaptor (included in the package) which will allow you to charge and enjoy in-flight entertainment wirelessly, making the Elva a great gadget to have if you travel frequently. No need to settle for the cheap and uncomfortable reusable headphones that the airlines provide!
The Sudio Elva is also extremely versatile and useful for both leisure and busy lifestyles -- other than its in-flight uses, the Bluetooth flight adaptor also allows you to connect to your television or other electronic devices that have an audio jack. It's even Nintendo Switch Gaming compatible!!!
Furthermore, the Elva has Voice Assistance features and built-in microphones for phone calls. If you're driving, you won't have to take your eyes off the road to fiddle around looking for your earphones -- they'll be hanging right around your neck!
Battery Life
The Sudio Elva boasts the following battery life:
11 hours playtime for music (10 hours for ANC + music)
If we don't take the Sudio Ett's charging case into consideration, the Sudio Elva definitely has a longer battery life as the wireless Sudio Ett earphones alone feature only 6 hours playtime for music (4 hours with ANC + music).
The Sudio Elva comes with two different wires (featured below) -- one to charge the earphones and the other to charge the Bluetooth adaptor!
Sound Quality
It's impressive to note that while Sudio has constantly been introducing new designs and features with every product launch, they've never compromised on the fundamental value of their wireless earphones -- the sound quality. The Sudio Elva, alike the Ett and Fem that I've reviewed in the past, provides a wonderful overall listening experience with a good balance between clarity, bass, and treble frequencies.
I've had my doubts about exercising with earphones as the sound quality can be compromised with rigorous movements. However, I'm happy to report that I've been able to enjoy both bass and clarity while exercising with the Elva! I'm able to hear the music clearly such that it elevates my mood and effectively distracts me from pain and fatigue!
